Kim K. Kamerin Kim K. Kamerin Kim K. Kamerin received his Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance (1993) and teaching credential (1994) from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, and received his Master’s Degree in Music Performance (1998) from the University of Nevada at Reno. Kim won the UNLV University Musical Society Concerto Competition (1998), received the Presser Award for Academic Excellence (1990), and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society (1993).Kim taught in the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada for seven years, including five years at the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing and Visual Arts. Kim was part of the team of performing arts teachers at the Las Vegas Academy that won NARAS Grammy Gold Signature School Awards for two years in a row (1998-1999 and 1999-2000). The Las Vegas Academy was also recently named as a US Department of Education, Blue Ribbon School (2001).Kim has been acknowledged for his commitment to teaching by being awarded the Middle School Teacher of the Year award for Clark County (1996), receiving a nomination for High School Teacher of the Year for Clark County (1999), and nominations for two Outstanding Educator Awards from the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce (2000 and 2001). Kim is also a multi year inductee into the Who’s Who of American Teachers (2000 and 2002).Kim is currently the choir director at Hanford High School in Hanford, California, and teaches Recording Arts, Computerized Audio, and Music Business at the College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California.
