Malpede, William V. William V. Malpede Bio Composer William V. Malpede holds a Graduate Certificate in Film Scoring from USC, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business from Elmhurst College. After touring as principle keyboardist with CATS, JOSEPH & AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT (Donny Osmond), and MUSIC OF THE NIGHT (Melissa Manchester and Betty Buckley), William settled in Los Angeles. Film orchestration, production and scoring credits include SPIDERMAN 3, BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, RANGO, CRIES FROM SYRIA, ANOTHER HARVEST MOON, and “QUIET IS” and LUCKY DUCK, for Disney Junior. His award-winning choral and wind ensemble music has been performed by VocalEssence, The Singers, The L.A. Choral Lab, the CSUN Women’s Chorale, and the CSUN Wind Ensemble. During his Artist Residency Grant at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation in 2015, William composed several new choral works, resulting in publications with Hal Leonard, Pavane Publishing, and MusicSpoke. Also a lecturer of Music in Film at Cal State University, Northridge, Mr. Malpede is honored that the world premiere of “What Was His Creed?” was given by the award-winning Elmhurst College Concert Choir under the direction of Susan Moninger.
