Maria Theresa Vizconde-Roldan Maria Theresa Vizconde-Roldan Theresa is the conductor of the internationally acclaimed and multi-awarded Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir, the first-ever Children’s Choir of the World winner at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in North Wales, United Kingdom and Choir Olympic Champions at the 3rd World Choir Games in Bremen, Germany. Theresa teaches Music Education, Conducting and Large Ensemble Class at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Conservatory of Music where she finished her Bachelor of Music degree, Cum Laude and Masters of Arts in Choral Conducting. She is also the Vice President for projects of the Philippine Choral Directors Association (PCDA). To propagate the Filipino choral music, Theresa, together with her husband Jude, arranges Filipino folksongs and writes choral music for children’s choirs. Their works have been published, performed and premiered at various choral festivals and competitions around the world. Recently, they organized Groundwork for Choirs, a series of choral workshops for conductors around the Philippines and launched their book Groundwork for Part-Singing, a collection of short pieces to develop the readiness of choristers to sing in parts. As a sought-after clinician for children’s choir, she's been giving workshops in Music Education, Choral Conducting and Choral Masterclasses around the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States of America. She has been an adjudicator in international and national choral competitions.
